Africa’s largest technology and video gaming exhibition, the really AWESOME gaming expo (rAge) will this year take place on 5 – 7 October, a week later than previous events, which was traditionally held on the last weekend of September.
This year will also be the expo’s 10th anniversary, as it showcases new and pre-released games on console and pc, the hottest consoles, creative-arts learning opportunities, product launches, competitions and exclusive presentations by international game developers.
“Visitors to rAge also get to see, and sometimes play, preview (beta) game code months before it goes on sale in stores and the patient few will even get to see behind closed doors game presentations – stuff so exclusive that it can’t be shown in public. If you’re looking for the latest innovations in gaming hardware, then rAge is the place to see them in action,” the expo’s website states.
rAge will once-again facilitate the much-loved NAG LAN, where 2 470 gamers will spend the weekend connecting with fellow players while engaging in multiplayer matches on various platforms and a variety of games.
The expo will be held at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg, and tickets will go on sale on 1 August for R60 per person, R100 for a weekend ticket, or R350 for entrance to the NAG LAN.
