Stafford Masie, technology futurist, chaired the Innovation Dinner on 15 February at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Johannesburg.

Stafford Masie, technology futurist, chaired the event on the “Consumerization of IT (Bring-Your-Own-Device): Re-thinking your device strategies”. Speakers from across the ICT sector took on this pressing issue, sharing their experiences and ideas on future management.

Frank Rizzo, ICT sector partner at KPMG, kicked off proceedings, before Vino Govender, MTN Senior Manager, addressed the audience. Kevin Barnard from Hewlett-Packard then took the mic as Masie kept the dialogue flowing between speakers.

The event was wrapped up with a panel discussion, led by Bennie Langenhoven, Tellumat Communication Solutions Managing Executive, which saw great participation from the audience picking the speakers’ brains. Overall, the discussion brought new insight on issues of how technology is changing consumers’ interaction with products, companies themselves and the relationship between employees and companies.
