African Telecom Leaders gather at Nigeria Com

Tomorrow, 20 September 2011 over 600 telecom leaders from across Nigeria will gather in Lagos to mark the start of the Nigeria Com.

The 2011 Nigeria Com conference agenda is to establish strategies and find innovative ways of evolving networks and services to capture growth potential in Africa’s largest telecoms market.

Nigeria Com, located in Lagos is a dedicated event for the largest West African telecoms market.

“Nigeria is the largest telecommunication market in Africa, we expect operators, investors and all stakeholders within the region to take advantage of this great opportunity to share experiences, learn and do business in Nigeria,” said Prof Dora Akunyili, Government of Nigeria  Minister for Information and Communications.

About 600 telecom leaders will meet at the Nigeria Com conference, 20-21 September 2011.

Over 40 speakers will address telecom delegates including Airtel Nigeria COO Deepak Srivastava, Ibrahim Abba-Gana, MTN Nigeria Business Intelligence GM, Sailesh Iyer,Visafone CEO and MD, Samson Isa Glo Nigeria Head of VAS (Value Added Service), Johnson Salako, Mobitel CEO, Steven Evans, CEO Etisalat Nigeria and Sylvanus Ehikioya Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Director of New Media and Information Security.

Representatives will include mobile, fixed, satellite and WiMAX operators, ISPs, regulators, ministry officials, solutions and technology providers, investors and consultants to ensure a truly 360 degree perspective of the market.

Topics to be covered include Networks and Infrastructure, Energy and Power Provision, Value Added Services, Regulation, Improving the Customer Experience, Market Forecasts and more.
