A statement by the ITU indicates that the events will be held in Algeria, Kenya and Morocco.

On 26 September the ITU Regional Workshop on Bridging the Standardization Gap for the Arab and Africa regions and Interactive Training Session will be held in Algiers.

A day later, ITU will hold the Regional HCD Forum for the Arab Region in Rabat, Morocco.

Kenya will host two events in Nairobi, namely the Workshop on “Mainstreaming the disability perspective for an inclusive society” and a Workshop on “Implementing good practices in accessibility for an inclusive society”, both on 28 September 2011.

ITU is the United Nations’ specialised agency for information and communication technologies.

It allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strive to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide.
