Virgin Mobile SA and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry solution for Virgin Mobile SA customers in South Africa.

The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, messaging, social networking, phone, calendar, web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications.
Virgin Mobile SA customers will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using their BlackBerry smartphone to stay easily connected to people and information while on the go.
Virgin Mobile SA will offer BlackBerry Internet Service for all its clients. BlackBerry Internet Service is an easy-to-use, convenient, low-cost solution that provides users with access to the Internet and up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts, as well as BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) and popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. It also provides access to a wide range of mobile applications on BlackBerry App World.
At launch, Virgin Mobile SA will run a new ‘have it all’ promotion which offers just that – social networking, email, web browsing and BBM, plus 1000 SMSs free every month.
