8.ta, South Africa’s newest mobile operator has introduced a new offer with low broadband rates for pre-paid users.
8.ta is now offering a 3GB pre-paid data bundle promotion at R149 (about US $21), which consists of 2GB anytime data and 1GB Midnight Surfer data for use between 12am and 5am. Users will basically be paying 5 cents per MB.
The announcement follows the launch of 8.ta’s 10GB post-paid data bundle promotion, which took the mobile broadband industry by storm
Managing Executive of Telkom Mobile, Amith Maharaj, said 8.ta has responded to the need for an aggressively priced pre-paid data bundle.
“This offer gives users the freedom to purchase an economically priced data bundle as and when needed, with no contract commitments or large upfront payments. It also provides contract subscribers from all networks with the ability to top-up their data usage for the remainder of the month,” said Maharaj.
The limited promotional bundle offer will be available in stores from Sunday 21 August 2011.
