Globacom introduces new mobile price plan

Globacom customer will be able to talk more for less money

Globacom has introduced a new telecom service that offers one free minute for every minute spent on the network. The new price plan offer, known as the “Glo1derful offer” was launched in Lagos, Nigeria.

Mohamed Jameel, Globacom Group COO, says the plan was initiated to give the mobile subscriber more value for money. ”This is signposted by this new offer. It is almost like talking for free and our overall objective is to delight consumers and increase affinity with the Glo brand.”

“Ultimately, subscribers will be encouraged to talk for more minutes and by so doing enjoy more free talk-time,” says Jameel.

Ashutosh Tiwary, Globacom GM for prepaid marketing, says with the new package, the effective rate comes down to 50% of the call rates as customers talk for two minutes, four minutes, six minutes and as desired.

Glo subscribers who are on per-minute billing plan get to pay only 50% of the total cost of every call made within the Glo network.

Tiwary states that calls on the package are effectively charged at only N7.50 (less than US$1) per minute.
