REUNERT office automation company, Nashua Limited, says after its R50 million acquisition of shares in Nashua Mobile it now aims to take a major stake in large franchises in South Africa.

On Monday, Nashua Limited said it acquired a 60 percent share in one of its top franchises, Nashua Central, a transaction that will also incorporate the undiscounted book that will be taken on by RC&C Finance Company.

“This transaction forms part of Nashua’s ongoing strategy to take a controlling interest in the large franchises situated in the major cities in South Africa,” says Nashua managing director, Graham Rhodes.
Nashua has previously bought controlling interests in Nashua Eastern Cape, Nashua Pretoria and Nashua West Rand. It also holds a 74 percent share in Nashua Kopano.

“Nashua Central is one of our most successful franchises and they have embraced the colour printer strategy and grown document volumes strongly,” Rhodes said.

There are 37 franchises in total with 61 outlets offering the Nashua range of products and services in Southern Africa.

Nashua limited is a leader in office automation and one of the largest providers of printing devices within the South African market. The company sells a variety of office automation products including MFP printing devices, colour laser printers, gel printers, wide format printers, duplicators, fax machines, high volume printing devices and software which enables customers to fully integrate their printing requirements with tools that manage and control printing within any office
