June 12, 2009 • Software

pastel.gifBUSINESS management software provider, Pastel, has introduced the new Pastel Evolution Payroll & HR software that enables companies to implement customisable HR systems and procedures in line with both company policy and the requirements of legislation such as South Africa’s Labour Relations Act and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.

Pastel Payroll managing director Grant Lloyd said that Pastel Evolution Payroll & HR is a best of breed software solution that will operate as a stand-alone solution or as a logical and seamless extension to the Pastel Evolution ERP software suite. Users will benefit from tried and tested Pastel Evolution ERP and Pastel Evolution Payroll technology.

“Pastel Evolution is the only ERP suite in the medium to large business space that provides both HR and payroll solutions alongside fully functional ERP and Accounting solutions. This is a scalable software solution that caters for smaller companies with a single user as well as companies with more than 250 simultaneous users or an unlimited number of employees that require customisable user rights.”

Lloyd added that legislation, accuracy and security were priorities in the development of the software, which offers the ability to customise user rights, control access to pay frequencies, place restrictions on adding, editing or deleting data and denial of access to certain functions while also offering pre-defined sets of transactions.

“We have included report writing, formulae writing and business intelligence (BI) functionality. There are 62 report layouts for users to choose from or they can simply and easily create report formats that suit their own specific requirements using the Report Writer and Business Intelligence Centre.

The payroll software within the Pastel Evolution Payroll & HR solution is well proven, automatically ensuring legal compliance for companies and employees in terms of labour, tax, employment conditions and equity, unemployment insurance, occupational injuries and skills development, he said.
